Alloway is well served by various forms of transport.
By car, it is served by the A77 trunk road, 40 minutes drive from Glasgow.
There is a half-hourly train service from Glasgow to Ayr, where there is a local bus service to Alloway. Glasgow Prestwick International Airport is 8 miles from the museum, with daily flights to destinations across the UK and Europe.
Both National Cycle Route 7 and the Ayrshire Coastal Path Network are connected to Alloway by short local routes. -
