  在墨西拿大教堂和天文钟楼旁边，喷泉为纪念传说中的墨西拿创立人和城市输水管道的开通而建。我们去的时候，喷泉正在维修，搭起了脚手架，有些遮挡。喷泉的雕塑家为16世纪的蒙托尔索里，喷泉下面的几个男性雕塑和围栏的装饰都非常精美，具有巴洛克的风格，与17世纪完成的罗马四河喷泉有些类似之处。不知道是否贝尼尼从蒙托尔索里这里得到某些灵感。

  小小的墨西拿至少有三座喷泉： （1）The Fountain of Neptune, looking towards the harbour, built by Montorsoli in 1557.海王雕像喷泉，面海而立，喷泉底座上站立这一尊海王雕像，他一手持着三叉戟，一手伸向前方，寓意赐福于墨西拿。 （2）The Senatory Fountain, built in 1619. （3）The Fountain of Orion, a monumental civic sculpture located next to the Cathedral, built in 1547 by Giovanni Angelo Montorsoli, student of Michelangelo, with a Neoplatonic-alchemical program. It was considered by art historian Bernard Berenson \"the most beautiful fountain of the sixteenth century in Europe\".
