Saint Mary's Cathedral was rebuilt on the site of an old church after 1478. The church is magnificent, with high arcades and vertical windows. The University Church was the city church of Cambridge long ago. Until the establishment of the old school in the 15th century, the dean and academicians met in the great St. Mary's church. The University kept its materials here. It can be said that at that time, it was the ruling center. Until 1730, debates, titles and other university activities were held in the church. St. Mary's Cathedral is one of the few churches in the UK with mobile pulpit, which can slide into the main altar from the track.

In the center of Cambridge, you can book a boat here. Many students are pulling guests around the square. They gather here at the appointed time and take them to the boat together. Saint Mary's Cathedral was rebuilt on the site of an old church after 1478. The church is magnificent, with high arcades and vertical windows. The University Church was the city church of Cambridge long ago.

大圣玛丽教堂是1478年后在一座老教堂原址上重新修建的。很早就是剑桥的市教堂了。爬上123级陡峭的台阶，美丽壮观的景色一览而尽！1794年，最初的大本钟乐曲就是按照这里的钟声创作的。 西塔外面的墙底部有一块铭牌，标志这剑桥中心的基准点。

Opposite King's college, you can climb the tower and look down on Cambridge, but the time is limited. You only turn around in the church.

可惜我们来的时间刚好学院关闭，要等到下午两点重新开放，只好先奔下一景点，剑桥的中心——大圣玛丽教堂。

大圣玛丽教堂是剑桥的市教堂，教堂内部气势恢宏，拱廊高耸，顺着123个台阶拾级而上，到达顶部的钟楼可以俯瞰全城。可惜我们没有时间登顶了，匆匆拍摄一张，算是到过了。

大圣玛丽教堂是1478年后在一座老教堂原址上重新修建的。教堂气势恢宏，拱廊极高，建有垂直线条的窗户。这座大学教堂很早就是剑桥的市教堂了。直到15世纪创建老学堂 (Old School)，院长和院士们都是在大圣玛丽教堂开会，大学将它的资料保存在这里，可以说，那时候这里是执政中心。一直到1730年，辩论、授予头衔和大学的其它活动都在这所教堂里举行。大圣玛丽教堂是英国的有移动式布道坛的少数几座教堂之一，它可以从轨道上滑进主坛。
