Corpus Clock

It's a very special clock. A terrible grasshopper eats the time one second at a time, reminding people to cherish the time. It's said that Hawking opened the curtain. After Hawking died, his funeral was held in the Church of St. Mary in front of King's college.

Info
It was conceived, designed and built by John Taylor for £ 1 million. After five years, it was unveiled by physicist Stephen Hawking in 2008. This huge golden grasshopper is known as the "chronophohage" time eater. Its body surface is mottled with gold powder and plasma, intended to remind people of the short life. The grasshopper's jaw opens and closes every minute, and his eyes flicker irregularly! Every 15 minutes, the stinger is lifted up, and every hour it kills, making the sound of the chain knocking on the coffin. LED blinking first slow then fast, seems to be catching up with time. It's one of Cambridge's must see attractions.
Address: Corpus Christi College, (at the corner of King's parade and Bennet Street).

When the mouth opens and closes, it seems to swallow time.

I can't get a clear picture of the partition. I didn't notice the sting. I thought it was a dragon.. Maybe I saw a fake clock

It's very complicated and exquisite. It's worth seeing. It's opposite to King's college.
