As soon as you get out of Rouen railway station, you can see Joan of arc tower just a few steps south along Joan of arc street.

Built in 1204-1210, Rouen Castle played an important role in the hundred year war and the French religious war. It has been the power center of Normandy for nearly 400 years. Joan of arc was held here between December 1430 and her trial. In 1591, with the exception of the watchtower (Joan of arc tower), other parts of the castle were demolished by the Royal Decree of King Henry IV of France in 1591.

Although it's called Joan of arc tower, it was built in the 13th century. When I go, the gate is locked. I can't walk on the tower. I can only look under the tower. But there is an introduction board under the tower, explaining the history of the tower, only French.

Just beside the road, if you stroll around the old urban area of Rouen, you will pass by inadvertently. If you don't understand it, you will think it's a strange building. Just pass by and have a look

More than 500 years ago, Joan of arc was tried and burned in Rouen. Later generations built this tower in memory of Zhende.

Originally a large castle, it was used as a prison for Zhende. After recovery, it was demolished, leaving only one tower as a memorial. There are not many cultural relics to go around, just to remember the saint.

There are many places in Rouen that are related to Joan of arc. The tower is close to the railway station.

A very small castle, almost like Joan of arc church. It's inconspicuous. Just look outside.
