The National Art Gallery of Scotland was opened in 1859. It is a collection of a series of outstanding European art works from the Renaissance to the end of the 19th century, including works of Titian, Van Gogh, Raphael and Monet. It also includes a large number of Scottish art works. It is the top art gallery in Scotland, where more than one million tourists visit every year.

Opening hours: 10: 00-17:00, August 10:00-18:00, open to 19:00 every four nights; January 1, 12:00-17:00; December 25 and December 26.
Tips
Due to the construction of tram on Princes Street, you need to get off near the south section of Hanover Street, the mound and Waverley bridge by bus.

It is still under renovation recently, and some exhibition halls are not yet open. You can enjoy the masterpieces at close range, including Raphael, Titian, Greco, titoletto, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Poussin and some Impressionist masters, recommended.

I think it's very big. I'm worried about the lack of time. I'll wait at the door without opening. I'll open at 10 on time. In fact, the main hall is very small with only two floors, and the content of the second floor is very small. The whole impression is based on the works before the 19th century. However, the exhibition layout and lighting are not bad. There is a stand in the center of the first floor to sell cultural and creative products. It seems that there is another special store that can't remember clearly. People who are not interested in going around can watch it in an hour; people who have seen many other similar galleries and don't feel that there are many highlights, such as us, can watch it in two or three hours; people who study art or are particularly interested in it are different.

城堡很大，因为很多看不懂，所以一个多小时就下来了，此时已经四点啦，赶紧下一站苏格兰国家美术馆(其实很近，步行10min之内）。爱丁堡的路上上下下的，而且各个方向蜿蜒，所以跟着Google地图也很容易走错。绕了个圈子一路小跑赶在关门前来到了美术馆。
