In this area of Reims, there are all famous champagne manufacturers, such as Leiguan group MOET

ericsson

In the champagne area, it is necessary to learn about champagne. This winery has 18m bottles of Tibetan wine (the level of OMG SPI is not average). Champagne is a second fermentation, the fermentation after bottling is generally from 13 months to 36 months, there are also 20 years, and it has been a thousand years old. Sparkling wine is a fermentation, so it is not surprising that the price difference between sparkling wine and champagne is geometric. The oldest bottle of wine in this winery is 1874. It's not guaranteed to taste good when opened. It may have mushroom flavor. Balabala... And it's too expensive

Pommery is located in the suburb of Reims. If you want to get there, you can start from Reims railway station and walk for more than 40 minutes. Or you can take bus No.6 from the bus station outside the railway station to Saint Remi church and then walk there. We choose to take the bus first and then walk. When you get to Pommery, you have to go all the way through the gate. On the right side, there is a small house called reception room. You can buy tickets in the reception room and choose the wine you want to try. You can choose to visit for one or two hours, of which only two hours are available on Saturday or Sunday. We are going to visit for an hour, starting at 14:15. After the visit, we can taste 2 glasses of champagne, 24 € / person. As I listed below (previously found on the official website), there are four kinds of ticket prices for an hour's visit, but in fact there are only three kinds: 1. Taste a glass of champagne, 18 € / person, silver or rose. 2. Taste two glasses of champagne. Choose two of the four kinds of champagne (two kinds of silver, two kinds of rose) from the sommelier, 24 € / person. 3. One cup of Louis champagne, 31 € / person.

In 1868, Mrs. Louise bought a piece of land outside Reims and 120 limestone caves underground. The caves, known as crayere, were created by the Romans two thousand years ago when they dug limestone underground in the city of Reims.

LANs is also the origin of world famous champagne. There are about 20000 grape farmers and hundreds of champagne factories near LANs, which produce about 200 million bottles of champagne every year. It is the largest economic pillar industry in Champagne Arden region.

You can learn about champagne culture, which is a very worthwhile place to visit. English, French and German explanations are provided. It's better to book in advance to avoid wasting a lot of time waiting

Generally, when visiting the cellar, you need to call a certain champagne brand directly to make an appointment (you can search online or call Reims Tourism Bureau for a question by phone). There are 30 minutes and one hour options. I chose 18 euro as the starting price for one hour, and then according to the different prices of the last champagne tasted (poor can only taste the cheapest Brun Silver), and then 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time to buy tickets (the wine cellar is a little far from the city center, you can take the No.4 bus from the city center or the railway station to st Remy church and then walk there). There are options in English and French, which will introduce the history of the wine cellar, the founder, the production and storage process of champagne, the classification of champagne (different sizes have different names, but also drunk Then there are a lot of murals and modern art on the way... Later I saw that the oldest one was 1874. It must be very expensive. Finally, I tasted wine. There was only one glass, because the little brother said that champagne was easy to get drunk. Generally, they didn't drink two glasses. If you want to know the skills of wine tasting, please poke the micro brocade bag! Ciao!
