这座富丽堂皇的大时钟俨然已成为鲁昂城的又一大城标。作为法国最古老的机械钟之一，大时钟建造于14世纪，安置在城中心一座文艺复兴风格的拱廊两侧，拱廊旁侧则连接着同时期建造的哥特式钟楼。大时钟的刻盘为文艺复兴风格，指针只显示小时，六刻钟正下方每天变换的神灵雕像代表着星期几。在刻盘外圈用象征月亮的圆环包围，四周又布满了绵羊标志，时刻提醒人们羊毛工艺对当地的重要意义。钟楼内部则展示了当年钟楼管理者的住所、机械钟运作原理以及古老的市政钟，登顶钟楼还能欣赏到壮观的鲁昂全景。为纪念这座古老遗产，人们用大时钟命名其所在的街道，而这条街道也由东向西连贯了圣母大教堂和鲁昂城又一处重要的历史景点旧市场广场。

It's the only way for the old city. In fact, there are many buildings like this in many parts of Europe. But if you look closely, there are exquisite carvings on the vault under the bell tower. It's really great! recommend!
