The ancient fort of neders was built in 1862. There is a brief description in this ancient fort. Since 1864, British troops have been stationed in this ancient fort. It was an observation post during World War II. There is a 60 meter long tunnel under the fort, which leads to the searchlight observation platform under the cliff. It wasn't until 1945, when World War II ended, that all the soldiers were withdrawn. Their main task is to prevent the enemy from invading the Solent strait between Great Britain and the Isle of Wight and Plymouth shipyard. There are several watchtowers like blockhouses in this fort for tourists to visit. We can all know clearly how the soldiers at that time worked.
