It's a good choice to hike or bike here. You can ride along the canal all the way to a place far away from Toulouse, and you can also see people travelling by self driving cruises along the way.

What Toulouse has to mention is that the canal du Midi, 240 km long, has been listed as a world cultural heritage site. It was originally built in the 17th century to connect Toulouse with the Mediterranean so as to facilitate commercial trade to the Pacific. Later, the bridge, the port and the Boulevard on both sides were repaired. Now it has become a place for walking, cycling and sightseeing. It's really good for walking and relaxation.

Both sides of the canal are beautiful Wutong trees, because they go there on weekends. Many people practise canoeing.
