The old battlefield of Culloden was the last major battle of the James uprising in the middle of the 18th century. One side of the battle was supported by many tribes in Scotland, hoping to restore the stauerian James party. The other was the Hanover Dynasty, which ruled England at that time. The battle ended in the defeat of the James party. After this battle, the James party was unable to start another big battle, and the Hanover Dynasty consolidated its rule. Today's carloden battlefield tour center makes people feel the atmosphere of the battlefield through sound and light.

Culloden battlefield is the last land battle in Britain more than 200 years ago. It is the most tragic and humiliating battle in Scottish history. This battlefield is now being declared a world heritage site.
