Alexandre Dumas, a French writer in the 19th century, took the castle as one of the backgrounds in his novel the story of love and hatred in Kido mountain (1844-1845), which made it famous.

我们将车泊在马赛老港周边的露天停车场。路边出现很多手持机枪的军人，虽然看起来有点吓人，但是至少也让人感到些许安心。这些人不是警察，据说他们大多数是外籍兵团的雇佣兵，其中不乏中国人的身影。

守护圣母圣殿（Notre-Dame de la Garde）是位于法国马赛的一座罗马天主教宗座圣殿。这座华丽的新拜占庭式教堂坐落在马赛的制高点，马赛老港南侧海拔162米的石灰岩山顶。守护圣母圣殿是马赛的主要地标，也是每年8月15日圣母升天节的朝圣地点。当地居民通常称之为la bonne mère（意为“好母亲”）。

从马赛出发的中线Sugiton比较合适，不是很难走，我曾遇到一对中国老夫妻去这边。从Cassis出发的前两个（Port Miou和Port Pin)路上虽然不难走，但路程比较长，对老人体力是个考验。带老人其实可以考虑坐船从海上看，Cassis 和马赛老港都有游船的
