诺瓦特

From 1434 to 1444, the great Gutenberg came to Strasbourg. Whether the invention of metal printing was in Strasbourg or Mainz is still a mystery, but Strasbourg is certainly one of the most important printing centers in Europe. In Gutenberg square, you can see the statue of Gutenberg holding the Bible, but generally it is always grabbed by the nearby carousel.

In 1439, Johannes Gutenberg (1400-3 February 1468) first used printing press and movable type printing in Europe. The clay type invented by Bi Sheng (970-1051) in the Northern Song Dynasty (1041-1048) marked the birth of movable type printing. He was the first person in the world to invent movable type printing, about 400 years earlier than Johannes Gutenberg.
