The Palace Museum is located on the north side of the Palace Square, in a 14th century building opposite the palace. The palace is so named to distinguish it from the palace. Opened in 1976, the museum collects many paintings of the school of Avignon and the Italian Renaissance, showing the artistic process from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. Among them, the most famous are 300 Italian Renaissance paintings, including the works of famous artists Botticelli, carpacio, Giovanni DI & nbsp; Paolo, etc., as well as the paintings of Avignon school and Avignon sculpture; temporary exhibitions will also have modern works on display.

On the opposite side of the palace is the little Palace Museum, which has 18 exhibition rooms, where Avignon school and Italian Renaissance paintings are collected. Mainly for Italy, France, Flanders School of painting and sculpture, especially religious painting, a considerable number, of which the most distinctive collection of the virgin and the baby.

I especially like this kind of museum with clear route design. It's good to stroll one room by one according to the serial number. It's basically coming from portichelli's painting, in room 10.

May 21 night tour of the museum. It's full of papal, religious paintings, sculptures. I listened to the Quartet of horn in the underground courtyard.
