Westminster Abbey, also known as Westminster Abbey, is adjacent to the parliament building. It is not only the Church of England, but also the place where successive kings are crowned and royal family members are married. Prince William's wedding was held here in 2011. 内部不能拍照，一个小时能参观完毕。英国国家教堂了。可以用London Pass。值得一提的是它的纪念品商店，商品质感不错，价格还可以。

威斯敏斯特教堂，West Minster Abbey也被翻译为西敏寺。是英国最重要的教堂。有17位英国君王安葬在教堂内。同时，又是历代国王加冕及王室成员举行婚礼的地方，是英国皇室的专用教堂。 最早的西敏寺建于8世纪。目前的西敏寺是1245年亨利三世下令修建，为比较典型的哥特式教堂，哥特式教堂于12世纪左右才从法国兴起。教堂在结构上的特点之一，是耳堂修得比较大，看起来很像教堂的正立面。其北耳堂是教堂的主要的入口。教堂的规模并不大，2个并列的高塔仅70米左右，与欧洲众多宏伟的教堂相比，只是一个小兄弟。 西敏寺是伦敦最热的景点之一，但是感觉教堂内就是有人说的“八宝山”，没有什么著名的宗教艺术品。如果对英国历史感兴趣也许值得去看看。

More than 30 British monarchs have been crowned here since ancient times. In fact, there is St. Margaret church next to the monastery, where Newton, Darwin, Hawking and other British celebrities are buried. The ticket price is not cheap, but I think it's very worthwhile to go in and have a look.

It's a royal exclusive monastery. No photos are allowed inside. It's magnificent and resplendent. There's a beautiful and clean garden in it.
