苏州山塘街有老字号、名人故居、博物馆、戏馆，也有咖啡厅、西餐厅、酒吧等等很现代的产物。

山塘街西北端至虎丘，东南端在阊门，街道与山塘河并行，一座座古桥横跨河面，石板街两侧是粉墙黛瓦的老房子和林立的店铺。晚上，亮起的红灯笼倒映在河里，适合拍照。你也可以自费乘游船，或是找家茶馆喝茶、听评弹。

Tips
1. 很多游客只去山塘街最热闹的老街那一段，如果偏爱宁静，可以继续往虎丘方向走，或者去主街两边的小巷里走走，会更有苏州弄堂味道。2. 山塘街北端走到底就是虎丘；南端走到底之后，再往西约1公里就是留园，而西园也离留园很近。

苏州的古镇古街园林实在是太多了，我提前在百度地图里查看了每个景区的全景，几番纠结之后选择了拙政园、苏州博物馆、山塘古街、苏州古运河、同里古镇、周庄。

Take half a day to go to Suzhou Shantang ancient street for a walk. The clear weather, the green trees and flowers in spring make the ancient town very beautiful. Although I have been to numerous ancient towns, Qili mountain pond still gives me some unexpected surprises. On both sides of the clear river stand the disordered and beautiful pink walls and tiles. The houses retain a variety of lattice wooden windows and the original mottled, a little more of the precipitation of years and the flavor of history. In addition to the time-honored restaurants and crafts with Suzhou characteristics, door-to-door shops also have boutique hotels transformed by old houses and artworks reflecting Suzhou life. More importantly, they have many childhood memories and cultural feelings, such as Kunqu Opera Hall, Pingtan, ancient stage, sugar kneader, paper-cut and so on. There are also some teahouses and bars near the river where you can see the scenery. It's really pleasant to have a rest when you're tired! Walking on the winding ancient street of Qingshiban Road, I feel that I have passed through my childhood from time to time. It not only retains the original style of the ancient street, but also gives the modern and contemporary elements and contents. On the heaven, there are Suzhou and Hangzhou, small bridges and flowing water people!

晚上住的宾馆对面就是七里山塘街，也是如今苏州的热门景点，傍晚五点多古镇还没有亮灯，但是人流都已经陆续往不长的小路聚拢，准备夜游山塘街。夜幕降临华灯初上，整个山塘街迎来了它很具活力的时刻，我们在那里走走停停觅食裹腹随手拍拍，一天过得很充实满足。

作为一个吃货，首先给大家上全七里山塘很好吃的4家特色小吃。1、乾生元，百年老店，生煎和面。2、大阿二生煎，顾名思义特色是生煎。3、赵元章，肉骨烧。4、山塘风味店，闻着臭吃着香的臭豆腐。一直都有人排队，只有一个小油锅在炸所以会等位比较久。其次景色不错，作为一条在市区的商业街，还是比较大程度的保留了原始景色，古街两旁的店铺能看出来是有年代的了，还有一些老店。晚上等游客散去沿着河走走别有风味。

景区对外免费开放，山塘街西北端至虎丘，东南端在阊门，全长约3600米，但大部分游客只去山塘街很热闹的老街那一段。关于交通，在苏州火车站坐地铁2号线到山塘街站下，往前走几步路就到了。

长长的古街，和平江路类似，两年前来过一次，风韵十足，这次出差路过，天色较晚，匆匆走过，建议独自一人慢慢散心，融入其中，回头慢慢回味，或者情侣二人不紧不慢的游览品味，七里山塘，一半是商业街，另一半就是真实的生活区菜市场，很多人会说古街现在商业化太严重，何不想想如果没有商店，你还会驻足浏览多久？沿着山塘街穿过马路的另一半是喧闹的菜市场，原生态没有商业化，但是又会有谁驻足浏览呢？
