Hertford bridge, commonly known as the bridge of sighs, is a pedestrian bridge in Oxford, England. It spans the new college lane and connects the north and south parts of Hertford college. It was designed by Sir Thomas Graham Jackson and completed in 1914. Its unique design makes it a city landmark. There are many sighing bridges in many places, which are named after the sighing bridge which is similar to a covered bridge in Venice, Italy, but the author thinks that this bridge is more like the famous Rialto Bridge in Venice.

Hertfordshire bridge is also called sigh bridge, because I think it must be marvelous at the designer's ingenious design to see such a beautiful building.

我们离开高街，来到叹息桥。桥的正式名称为赫特福德桥，是牛津大学的一个著名景点。始建于1913年，它跨过新学院路连接了赫特福德学院的新旧两个部分。由托马斯杰克逊爵士（Sir Tomas Jackson）设计。据说学生们无论是没有学好还是没有考好经过这座桥时，都会发出叹息，所以叫叹息桥。外形和威尼斯同名的那座很相似。

博德利图书馆是牛津大学主图书馆，仅次于大英图书馆位列英国第二，图书馆东侧是赫特福德学院，南北两个区被赫特福德桥连接。打个卡！

从剧院穿过去，就可以看到牛津的叹息桥。相比剑桥飞架在河上的叹息桥，牛津的叹息桥名不副实。由于连接赫特福德学院，所以牛津的叹息桥也叫做赫特福德桥。

吃完早餐后便开始步行游览牛津的各个学院，从The best of the best的万灵学院，经过漂亮的Radcliffe Camera，再走过赫特福德桥（叹息桥），经过被铁栅栏围着当天正在举办婚礼而关闭开放的三一学院，最后登上圣母玛利亚大学教堂俯瞰整个牛津...感觉这次留给牛津的时间真的是太少了，下一次有机会一定要再来好好感受一番
