Although Caen castle is free of charge, there are several museums in the castle, specifically the Normandy Museum and the Normandy Art Museum. Normandy museum is a two-story Museum transformed from an old house. Although the scale is not too large, and there is no famous Normandy campaign, it introduces Normandy from ancient history to traditional folk customs. Like the rest of France, the first inhabitants of Normandy were Celts. When the Romans arrived, they built a castle at the intersection of the two avenues, the predecessor of the city of Caen. Normandy became the territory of the Franks as the barbarians moved westward into the Roman Empire and collapsed. However, after the barbarians became masters, they began to face a new wave of barbarian invasion. It was the Danish Vikings who came across the sea from the Jutland Peninsula in the dragon boat. After entering Britain, these Danes established their base in York. After occupying Normandy to the south, they became increasingly Frankish, forming a unique regional Normandy culture different from Denmark and France. The Normans who settled in Normandy changed their careers and became excellent farmers. They are one of the most important agricultural and livestock areas in France. Cheese and cider are well-known in France and even in Europe. At the same time, they have contributed almost all the horses (used to be war horses, now horse racing) to France. Normans, whose ancestors came from the sea, were still sons of the sea even when they came to Normandy. There was a blood of adventure in their blood vessels. They continued to conquer southern Italy to the South and sail westward to the new world of America. Yes, French North America was actually opened up by Normans. Today, the second largest port in France, Le Havre port, is also located in Normandy 。

The famous Normandy war, because of the pursuit of history, came to Caen, the capital of the upper Normandy region. The Normandy museum is not big, but it's the best way to understand the key battle of World War II.

Tickets are not expensive. There are simple Chinese materials and Chinese simultaneous translators. It's worth visiting. In the nearby landing beach, the flags of allies and Germany are hung together, and the German flag is not seen in the museum.

This museum has nothing to do with the Normandy landing! Going to the Second World War, the result is to introduce the history of local cultural development. But look at the ruins of the castle to make up for the lost heart!

The museum is small, located in the castle of dural in the center of Caen. It is about the tradition and history of Normandy. On June 6, 1988, the Normandy Campaign Memorial officially opened. This huge museum is the reflection of World War II and landing. In the museum, the breathtaking and moving historical scenes of 44 years ago are reproduced, and the history of World War II is introduced to the audience with various materials. The designer of the memorial hall named it "Peace Memorial Hall" with great ingenuity.
