沃邦拦河坝是小法兰西区以西一个伊尔河上的一道拦河坝，拦河坝有三个很德国式的塔楼，它们是中世纪防御廊桥硕果仅存的部分。

The barrage is located in the southwest of Strasbourg island. The entrance to the island is not only a barrage, but also a military project built by the French army in the 17th century. This barrage can be used to fence and control the river. It can be used by pedestrians. There are also sculptures of the past and exhibitions of modern pictures. On the top of the barrage is a platform, which used to be a fortification, and now it can be used for sightseeing.

Not far to the west is the barrage Vauban, built between 1686 and 1690. It is named after Sebastian wobang, French marshal and military engineer. Inside the barrage is the access bridge connecting the two sides of the IL River, with a viewing platform on top (no admission). There are 13 arch holes in the barrage, which are equipped with water gates that can rise and fall to regulate the water volume. During the Franco Prussian War in 1870, the floodgates were closed to flood the upper reaches to stop the attack of the Prussian army. Of course, France failed in the end, the German Empire was established, and the Alsace Lorraine area where Strasbourg was located was ceded to Prussian Germany. The internal channel of wabang Barrage is about 120 meters long. You can go up to the viewing platform on the top of the barrage.
