Located in the seawall of Marseille II, on the North Bank of the old port, it was built in 1653 and listed as a french historic site in 1948. One of the major characteristics of the city hall is that the first floor does not have the stairs to the second floor. If you want to go up to the second floor, you need to enter a nearby building and enter the second floor of the city hall through the corridor bridge connecting the two buildings.

Tips
The city hall is not a place for tourists to visit in the ordinary sense. Although there is no restriction on the access, it is better not to take photos inside, just take photos outside.

Marseille town hall is on the avenue of old port. The building completed in the 17th century has experienced the French Revolution, and the building is lucky not to be damaged.
