瓦朗索尔(Valensole)，普罗旺斯面积最大的薰衣草花田。来法国南部，在薰衣草季节的话，就肯定这里是必到之地，薰衣草微微辛辣的香味，令人难忘。但要注意薰衣草里的蜜蜂，看到几个人被蜜蜂叮到了，还挺严重的，须小心小心！

在普罗旺斯的北部，阿维尼翁的东面约120km，自驾开车至少需要2个小时，属普罗旺斯-阿尔卑斯-蓝色海岸大区（Provence-Alpes-Côté-d’Azur），上阿尔卑斯省管辖的一个镇（Commune）。小镇与其它许多普罗旺斯小镇一样建在一个小山丘之上，是普罗旺斯比较大一点的镇。小镇没有多少可以看的东西。瓦朗索勒最著名的是其薰衣草，是普罗旺斯最好的薰衣草观赏地，其次是索村，最差是塞南克修道院。但是，最美的薰衣草花田都不在小镇，在小镇附近大约10-20公里范围内的田间。

The residents of the town will wear traditional clothes and carry lavender products and farming tools to perform and March in the town. At this time, there will be a grand Lavender market in the town, selling pure natural lavender products, Provence's special utensils, and tasting unique Lavender ice cream.
