不过修道院对面的圣艾蒂安老教堂就没这么好运气了,这座11世纪的教堂被炸成了废墟,被半圆拱圈支撑的残垣断壁看起来仿佛罗马时代的高价水渠

The old church across the street from the town hall is a bit dilapidated. There is no need to go there specially. Show the scenic spot.

Info

The Eglise St Etienne, built in the 11th century, is a dilapidated Gothic church that was destroyed in the war of 1944, leaving today's ruins standing opposite the famous l'abbaye-aux-hommes. It's a bit of an atmosphere of vicissitudes. Caen is famous for its stone, and with the footsteps of William the conqueror, the church here is the predecessor and shadow of many famous churches in Britain today.

This church is a rare Romanesque building in Caen. On the side of the circular road opposite the Caen men's Monastery, it is now completely abandoned and has a strong sense of history.

From the center of the city to the men's Monastery, you will pass this very old church. I didn't go in. I just looked around.

Especially like ruins, like that sense of vicissitudes. It's no fun to build the ruins to be tall

There's no bright spot or deficiency. It's just a common Museum

It's a rare ruined church. It looks like a medieval pagan territory. I wonder why no one came to repair it after the war

I always like places like ruins. No matter because of the devastation of years or the destruction of war, ruins always give people a very special feeling.
