  We visited Lyme Park on a sunny Sunday in mid-winter. The house isn't open in winter and we weren't sure what would be on, but discovered that throughout the year Lyme House has events that make a visit well worth while. We heard a great jazz band at lunchtime, and we visited the exhibition of 'The Village'. Children and adults were encouraged to dress up in '20s style and the grounds, even in winter, are spectacular. Had we gone a week later, we would have been learning the Charleston! In short, even in winter this is well worth a visit.
