We visited to watch a special show on the Fragile Planet. We didn't realize until arriving that the price of admission is good for only one planetarium show. For the price, I think unlimited shows would be appropriate. The show itself was alright but rather superficial and focused more on the appropriateness of Earth for life relative to other planets rather than its fragility. Following the show was an enthusiastic live explanation of what would be seen later that day in the night sky which I enjoyed more.

This is a small place and there is not much to see. Probably more interesting for children. Still a good stop if you have time to kill between flights at KOA.

这个综合博物馆风格简洁，能带你领略夏威夷所有的自然和文化历史。这里的地质展是一大亮点，有可以穿行的熔岩通道、大量的熔岩标本等。这里还收藏有贝壳、宝石和水晶，藏品世界一流。有关古老夏威夷人生活的展览也很不错。描绘了简单日常生活的一切，例如如何使用扁斧、编羽毛花环、搭建茅草屋、古代运动、宗教礼仪以及神秘的禁忌体系等等。展览上还会见到创造了夏威夷多种族社会的移民。博物馆旁边是教会，这是由牧师大卫·莱曼和他的妻子莎拉于1839年建造的。这座朴实的房子反映出传教士的生活，里面保存了许多原始的家具。讲解员会为游客仔细讲解传教士的生活。每天都有几次免费的参观。
