The Neal Kocurek Memorial Austin Convention Center is located in Downtown Austin, Texas. The convention center, with a total floor area of 881,400 sq ft (81,800 sq m), has five exhibit halls with a total area of 246,097 sq ft (22,863 sq m) of column-free space, two ballrooms, and 47 breakout rooms.
The Austin Convention Center was originally constructed from 1989 to 1992 at a cost of $69,000,000 with a floor area of 441,000 sq ft (41,000 sq m) and was expanded to its current size in 2002. It was renamed after W. Neal Kocurek in 2004. The convention center is LEED Gold certified.
