The bucket of shrimp, corn, and potatoes in a boil is pretty awesome. It will really feed a couple especially if you have an appetizer or extra salad, etc. That makes for a pretty inexpensive meal and the alcoholic drinks have plenty of punch. The service was a bit slow after being seated, but was very pleasant and helpful in ordering and during the meal.
Been there two times and would go back. It's a fun little adventure to go on small groups (4 is perfect). Very safe procedures and physically demanding. If you are afraid of heights, don't go. If you are not in shape, don't go. I was in better shape this year than before and did it in snap of a finger with my goddaughter. We had a blast! But there was some scared people in front of us and we had to wait and wait and wait. Finally, the rescuer threw them off the platforms. too slow.
This museum tells the story of the Acadien people who were expelled by the British in the 18th century. The acadiens were French immigrants that have developed agriculture in Acadie (now Nova Scotia). It is explained in full details in the museum and it also provides an insight in the culture of the Acadiens who still exist in North America.
The gardens outside are clean and includes the Evangeline statue, a symbol for the Acadiens, and the memorial church.
You need at least 1.5 hours to visit the principal sites and even some more when walking through the gardens.
