  prefer self-driving into the park. There are about 10-20 miles unpaved road to drive, so be prepared. Chaco culture is from about 1000 years ago. This park contains several ancient houses in that age, called \"great house\". These houses have many rooms and kiva. You will know what kiva is when you see them. Many \"great house\" are allowed to step into, so you can see them and feel them. Bring enough water, don\'t forget to go to visitor center firstly and get the map or you will get lost.
